Dear Future Baby this is Dad from the past,

  I know you are too young to understand the byline above, but give me some time. We will watch the Back to the Future Trilogy repeatedly so that you may better understand the time-space continuum. I wanted to post this picture I found in my work computer because when you finally meet your parents, we are not going to be as cool as we once were. Man, we were really cool. We dressed all awesome and flew to Minnesota whenever we felt like it. We took pictures on tractors because we could. We had all kinds of friends and bro’s who were all: “Dude, where are Patrick and Natalie? They’re probably cruising the country again, those bro’s are always gone on an awesome adventure.” We were a couple who enjoyed closing down bars and dancing on tables, we yelled at taxi drivers when they intentionally drove the long way home, we ate quesadillas at 2am because that’s what you do at 2am. When you finally meet us, we will be responsible and financially stable, that’s no fun, but it’s better for you and probably for us. We love you future baby, but when you think to yourself: “Man those guys are lame” remember this picture and remember how good your dad looks.
